Terms of service

Updated Cutito

These terms apply to orders of video editing services placed through cutito.com. Please read them before you order. By confirming an order you agree to them.

Effective from: 31 October 2026

1. Who we are

Cutito is a video editing service operated by:

  • Jiří Ozdobinski, sole trader registered in the Czech Trade Licensing Register
  • Company ID (IČO): 75371341, VAT ID: CZ8802025309
  • Registered address: Kollárova 3122/1a, Královo Pole, 61200 Brno
  • E-mail: hello@cutito.com

("we", "us"). You are "the client".

These terms apply to businesses and to consumers. Rules marked "consumers only" apply only if you order as a consumer, meaning outside your trade, business or profession. If you order for a company or an agency, or as a self-employed person for your business, you order as a business.

2. The service

We edit video footage that you supply into short finished videos, usually up to 60 seconds, delivered as MP4 files. We do not film. AI tools help us draft an editing plan and a quote from your brief; the editing itself is done and checked by a person. The scope of each order (number and length of videos, formats, captions and other add-ons) is the one shown in the order summary before payment.

3. How an order is made

  1. Describe what you need.
  2. Add your footage: upload files (up to 5 GB and 100 files per order), share a link, or start with just an idea and add footage later.
  3. Confirm the summary with the scope, the price including VAT and the expected delivery date, and pay through Stripe. On your first order with an e-mail address Stripe only authorizes your card (see section 4).

The contract is concluded when your payment or, on a first order, the card authorization is completed. After that you see the order confirmation and your project link on the confirmation page. You do not need an account. Order status and the finished videos are available through that project link; we may also notify you by e-mail. Please keep the link private.

Some requests need a person to check them before we can give a price, for example videos longer than 60 seconds, a lot of footage to review, or special work such as animation or voice-over. We then send you an individual quote, and the contract is concluded only once you accept and pay it.

We may decline an order, for example when we have no capacity, when the footage or the request is unlawful or breaks these terms, or when we cannot deliver it at the quality we promise. If you have already paid, we refund the full amount.

The contract is concluded in English or Czech. We keep it electronically together with the order summary, which you can view through your project link.

4. Price and payment

Prices are in euros and include VAT. The price that applies is the one shown in the order summary at the moment you pay; prices shown elsewhere on the website are indicative. How you pay depends on whether you have ordered from us before:

  • First order with an e-mail address: you pay only after you approve your video. At checkout Stripe only authorizes your card: the amount is reserved, not charged. We charge it when you approve the final video. If you neither approve the delivered video nor ask for changes within 14 days of its delivery (the final or revised version), we consider it approved and charge the reserved amount; we remind you before that. The reservation cannot be cancelled from your side; if the order does not go ahead, we release it and you are not charged. For first orders we accept cards only (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), because other methods cannot hold an amount. A card authorization lasts about 7 days, so if the work takes longer we may renew it, or charge the card you used once you approve, using the card details Stripe keeps for this order. The amount is never higher than the total in your order summary.
  • Every further order (an earlier order under the same e-mail has been paid): you pay in advance by card or another method offered by Stripe, as shown at checkout.

We issue an invoice (tax document) for every paid order once the amount has been charged. If you order as a business and need your company name and VAT ID on the invoice, enter them in the billing details at checkout or write to us before paying.

Partner clients with a separate written agreement may be invoiced monthly. That agreement takes precedence over these terms where they differ.

5. Footage and delivery

You supply the footage, music you want used, logos and other materials ("materials"). The expected delivery date of the first version is shown before payment. It is usually within 3 working days and runs from the moment we have all the materials. If materials arrive late or incomplete, the delivery date moves accordingly.

We deliver the finished videos as MP4 files on your project page, where you can download them. You can follow the status through your project link; we may also notify you by e-mail.

6. Review and revisions

On the project page you can watch the first version and leave comments tied to specific moments in the video.

  • One creative revision is included: send all your comments in one round and we will rework the video within the original brief.
  • Corrections of our mistakes, such as a typo in a caption or a cut that does not follow the agreed brief, are free and are not counted as a revision.
  • A new concept, new footage, a different length or a full recut is not a revision. We will quote it separately.

When you approve the videos, the order is complete. On a first order, approving the videos is the moment we charge the authorized amount. If you neither approve nor ask for changes within 14 days of delivery, the videos count as approved.

7. Storage of files

We archive your uploaded source files and the finished videos. There is no fixed deletion period yet; you can ask us to delete them at any time by e-mail to hello@cutito.com. The archive is not a guaranteed backup, so please download the finished videos and keep your own copy of the original footage.

8. Your materials and rights

By sending us materials you confirm that:

  • you own them or have all the rights and licences needed to have them edited and to publish the result, including rights to music, logos, trademarks and third-party footage;
  • every person who can be recognised in the footage (including their voice) has agreed to be filmed and to the use of the recording for the intended purpose, or that you have another legal basis for this use;
  • the materials are not unlawful or defamatory and do not infringe anyone's rights.

You remain the owner of your materials. You allow us to use them only to deliver your order. If a third party makes a claim against us because the materials or their use breach these promises, you will compensate us for the resulting damage and reasonable costs, to the extent permitted by law.

We may refuse or stop work on materials that are clearly unlawful or harmful.

9. Rights to the finished video

Once the order is paid in full, you receive a non-exclusive, worldwide licence, unlimited in time, to use, publish, copy and adapt the finished videos for any purpose, including commercial use. You may grant this right to your client if you order as an agency.

Stock footage and music that we supply are licensed under the terms of their provider; we will tell you about any restrictions in the order. We may not show your videos in our portfolio or marketing without your separate consent.

10. AI-assisted processing

We use AI services (currently OpenAI) to turn your written or dictated brief into a draft editing plan and quote, and to transcribe a dictated brief. The AI does not edit your video on its own and does not make final decisions; a person reviews the plan and edits the video. AI suggestions can contain errors, so please check the order summary before you pay. More on how we handle data is in the privacy policy.

11. Complaints

If the delivered video does not match the agreed scope or has a defect (for example a missing part of the brief, a technical error in the file, or a wrong format), tell us at hello@cutito.com or through the project page without undue delay after delivery, and describe the defect. Consumers have the rights from defective performance under the Czech Civil Code.

We will confirm receipt and resolve the complaint within 30 days, usually much sooner. We will first fix the defect free of charge. If that is not possible or we fail to do it in a reasonable time, you are entitled to a reasonable discount or, for a material defect, to withdraw from the contract and receive a refund.

A difference in creative taste within the agreed brief is not a defect; for that, the included revision is available.

12. Withdrawal (consumers only)

As a consumer, you may withdraw from a contract concluded online within 14 days of its conclusion, without giving a reason, under section 1829 of the Civil Code. Send us a clear statement, for example by e-mail to hello@cutito.com; you may use the model withdrawal form at the end of these terms. We will refund the payment within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method. If your card was only authorized, we release the reservation instead, or charge only the proportionate part described below from the reserved amount and release the rest.

Because we start working right after payment, by placing the order you expressly request that the service starts within the withdrawal period. If you then withdraw, you pay a proportionate part of the price for the work done until the withdrawal (section 1834).

You cannot withdraw once the service has been fully performed (the video has been delivered) if it was performed with your prior express consent and you acknowledged that you lose the right to withdraw on full performance (section 1837(a) of the Civil Code).

Businesses do not have a statutory right of withdrawal. You can cancel an order free of charge before we start working on it; write to us at hello@cutito.com. If we cancel an order before delivering it, a card authorization is released and a payment is refunded in full.

13. Liability

We perform the service with professional care. We are not liable for the content of your materials, for how and where you publish the result, or for loss of materials that you did not keep a copy of; always keep your own copy of the original footage.

If you order as a business, our total liability for damage arising from an order is limited to the price paid for that order, to the extent permitted by law. This limitation does not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or to harm to a person's life, health or other natural rights.

We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as outages of service providers. We will let you know and agree on a new date, or refund you if you no longer want the order.

14. Out-of-court dispute resolution (consumers only)

If we cannot resolve a complaint together, you may turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, ČOI), Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Praha 2, www.coi.gov.cz. ČOI handles out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes and supervises consumer protection. Our trade is supervised by the competent trade licensing office.

15. Personal data

How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.

16. Final provisions

These terms and every order are governed by Czech law, in particular Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code. For consumers, this does not remove the protection given by the mandatory law of their country of habitual residence. Disputes with businesses are decided by the competent Czech court according to our registered address.

We may change these terms. The version in effect when you place the order applies to it. If the English and Czech versions differ, the version in the language of your order applies.

These terms take effect on 31 October 2026.
